District 13 Campaign Hits Airwaves

The Leland Burk campaign — which has been advertising on billboards, in our newspaper, and on our website — contacted me and several other media types today to let us know that it has produced a television commercial called “Middle Names.”

The underlying message of the new ad seems to be that all opponent Jennifer Staubach Gates has going for her is her middle name.

I asked Clayton Henry, Burk’s campaign manager, when and where viewers might see this spot. “We have made a substantial buy that started on cable today, with a major-market run upcoming,” he said.
