Sunday’s Bone Marrow Donor Drive May Save a Life

A University Park mom of two named Danielle is searching for a bone marrow match. You can help her and others by attending the Bone Marrow Donor Drive at St. Michael And All Angels Episcopal Church from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Anyone in good health between ages 18 and 55 can register. The process takes roughly four minutes; just fill out a registration form and get your cheek swabbed.

Most patients need stem cells that can be extracted from the donor’s bloodstream. To learn more, click here. You can also contact Amy Roseman at amy@dkmsamericas.org or 646-530-2911.

Follow up to story of bone marrow drive for Danielle.
My 19 yr old son participated in this drive and he was found to be a match through the national registry. He is a college student and is doing this for his spring break next week. I would love for Danielle and her family to know that yet another life is hopefully being saved from the drive.
Ford will be home on Friday, March 7 and we leave for Scripps Hospital in LaJolla California on March 8th.
