Lady Scots Sweep District
The Highland Park Lady Scots dominated the District 10-4A golf championships by finishing in both first and second place on Tuesday.
The Gold team shot a 669 (335-334), while the Blue team fired a 737 (374-363) to advance to the Class 4A Region II Tournament April 17-18 in Euless. Forney was third with a 859 (422-437).
Highland Park’s top golfer, Layne Anderson, took fourth place with a 161 (84-77). Teammate Grace Newman was fifth with a 162 (82-80). Both of them earned first-team all-district. Also, Adrienne Norris, Coco Kubicki, Bianca Ponce, and Kristen Haggerty got second-team for finishing in the top 10.
