Thief Breaks Into Subway, Steals Empty Cash Box
At around 6:15 p.m. on March 12, a shoplifter swiped 20 Polo Ralph Lauren shirts with a combined value of $2,500 from a display at Macy’s in NorthPark Center.
Between 3:30 p.m. on March 12 and 8 a.m. on March 13, a thief entered a black 2013 Lexus SUV in the 4700 block of West Hanover Avenue and stole a $400 stroller and a $200 car seat.
Between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on March 13, a thief entered a backyard in the 3700 block of North Versailles Avenue and stole a $150 stroller from the porch.
At around 4 p.m. on March 13, an employee of Nordstrom in NorthPark Center watched on camera as a shoplifter took two pairs of designer sunglasses with a combined value of almost $400 into a bathroom. He remained in the bathroom for almost one hour before needing medical treatment. The sunglasses were recovered when the paramedics arrived.

At 7:30 p.m. on March 14, police were called to Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center, where two shoplifters were detained for trying to purchase two pairs of shoes with a combined value of $1,890 with a forged credit card and California driver’s license. Police confiscated $2,931 cash, three forged credit cards, two fake California IDs, and six credit cards from the pair.
Between 10 and 11 a.m. on March 16, a burglar broke into a white 2012 Nissan sedan at Dealey Montessori School and stole a $1,000 Louis Vuitton purse containing a $700 Louis Vuitton wallet and $30 cash.
At around 2:45 a.m. on March 17, a burglar broke into Subway in the 7700 block of Forest Lane and stole an empty cash box valued at $49 before fleeing in a gray Nissan sedan.
Between noon and 6:40 p.m., a thief climbed through a doggie door at a house in the 7700 block of Robin Road. Once inside, he stole 50 pieces of china with a combined value of $15,000, a $15,000 sterling-silver tea set, a $5,000 Waterford crystal set, a $500 Samsung 42-inch TV, a $300 Samsung 27-inch TV, a $100 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 key fob, and a $10 laundry basket.
