Spieth to Return to Byron Nelson
Former Jesuit standout Jordan Spieth will be returning to the Byron Nelson after a one-year absence. Spieth, who turned pro earlier this year, has accepted a sponsor exemption to play in this year’s event, which is slated for May 16-19 at the TPC Four Seasons Resort.
Spieth played in the Nelson twice while he was still in high school. He had to skip last year’s event because he was helping the University of Texas win an NCAA national championship. Spieth had the top amateur finish in the history of the Byron Nelson by tying for 16th place in 2010. In 2011, he finished tied for 32nd.
