After Being Caught, Shoplifter Tries to Buy Items
At around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a woman left her purse containing $30 cash and several credit, Social Security, and ID cards in the shoe department of Dillard’s in NorthPark Center. By the time she realized her purse was missing one hour later, it was long gone.
At around 4 p.m. on Thursday, a white SUV pulled up between two black SUVs in a parking lot in the 7600 block of Inwood Road. A thief then exited the white SUV and broke a window on each black SUV and stole a stereo from each.
At around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, a shoplifter exchanged a pair of shoes at Nordstrom in NorthPark Center. On his way out of the store, however, he took a detour through a stock room, where he swiped a $495 pair of shoes which he hid in the box of the pair he had just exchanged. He was caught and promptly arrested.
After 11 p.m. on Friday, a burglar broke into a Ford SUV in the 6900 block of Lupton Drive and stole a $10 atlas.

Between Wednesday and Saturday morning, a thief stole a Wisconsin license plate from a vehicle in the 7200 block of Lavendale Circle.
At 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, a teenager was detained at Anthropologie in NorthPark Center for trying to steal several pairs of earrings and a travel case. After being caught, the teen offered to pay for the items, but police declined her benevolent gesture, preferring to arrest her instead.
At around 5:50 p.m on Sunday, a shopper set her purse down while she tried on shoes at NorthPark Center. As soon as she set the $200 bag containing an iPhone 4S, $300 cash, and a couple of checkbooks and debit cards down, a thief snatched it and fled.
Between 4:30 p.m. on Sunday and 5:30 a.m. on Monday, a thief stole a $350 gray bicycle and a helmet from an open garage in the 7700 block of Greenway Boulevard.
