Free Workshop Tells How to Self-Publish
As if writing a book isn’t difficult enough, trying to get it published is possibly even more agonizing. Do you try to publish with an established publishing house? Do you try to do it yourself? What kind of costs are you looking at? How can you avoid being cheated? And the questions continue.
On March 6, however, you can put all these questions and more to rest, at a free self-publishing workshop. The event is sponsored by Alpha Graphics and will cover just about every topic related to publishing your own work.
If you’d like to meet other authors, see actual finished products, and talk to design, printing, binding, marketing, and distribution experts, here’s your chance. The event is at 1:30 on Wednesday, but today is the deadline to RSVP.
Did I mention that it’s free? Call Mary Beth at 214-536-2624 to reserve a seat, and send me the first copy of your book when it’s released.
Here’s a link to the online site where you can register for this:

Aw, thanks ladies – what a nice surprise to see this in the paper!!! We have had phenomenal response to the workshop, and will definitely do this again, so if people miss out on this one, they won’t LOSE out!
I’m also maintaining a blog about the topic. People can browse for tips and hints through the link: http://www.DallasPublishing.blogspot.com
Looking forward to a packed house on Wednesday. Thank you, Park Cities People, for helping us spread a little self-publishing love around our little corner of the world!!

I would not read a self-published book.
