$7,500 Reward Offered For Threat Info

University Park Police Chief Gary Adams said that Crime Stoppers is offering $5,000 to anyone who provides information leading to arrest in the notes/bullets case at Highland Park High School. The school district has added $2,500 to the pot, Adams said.

He also told me there are eight uniformed officers on campus today, in addition to the resource officer who is normally stationed at the high school.

Police are interviewing everyone who was seen entering the boys bathroom yesterday prior to the discovery of the ammunition.

What are the chances it is a disgruntled school employee given that they have access to all of the same areas and not a student?

Chances on it being an adult is slim in my opinion. It’s my understanding they installed cameras around the bathroom in question during the first round of notes. An adult would stand out this round of notes. So my guess is it’s a child. Anyhow, hopefully this crap is about to come to and end now that the FBI is involved and a Reward had been issued.

There have been cameras for years, and guess what, there are no bombs, there are no guns, if you guys haven’t noticed the school tends to let the kids go when a terribly thought out bomb note is released, sounds like a decently easy way to get out of school (which is 100% what it was) obviously it was stupid, but kids tend to be stupid, although I guess they were smart enough to know that every over protective highland park parent would freak out, and let them have basically a week off school. Where would these kids even get a bomb, and if they found a bomb maker in the metroplex, I’m guessing the bomb maker would look at them, laugh, and probably rob the kid. No bombs, no guns, minimal threat, rest easy parents

@Former Student: Of Course there isn’t a bomb and lets get off this “It’s Highland Park” crap. You would see the same reaction or worse from any other school district…probably be all over the cable news networks if it took place else where. My point with the cameras is they would have noticed an “adult” using the restroom around the time the notes was found. Anyhow, creating a bomb isn’t an issue living in an Information Age but the chances of them placing a real bomb is a low probability. However, even though you and I don’t believe there is a bomb, it doesn’t change the fact that this is being used to terrorize people which is illegal. Now these people are elevating the situation even worse by implying a school shooting which unfortunately does happen in US Soil. So we’re forced to take it seriously. This so called Stupid Kids prank is about to land someone in jail.

Surely the FBI has already collected hand writing samples from the teachers of all the boys, or least those seen entering the bathroom, and they will have him, or them, by Tuesday. We will hear that it was a kid who has been bullied forever or a really smart kid who just made a mistake and we should just forget about it.
