After 57 seasons, SMU’s Moody Coliseum is getting a serious face lift. A $47 million face lift, to be exact.

The Mustangs will play their final game in the current configuration. The SMU men will take on Rice at 7 p.m. It will also be Senior Night.

The updated Moody will feature new premium seating, courtside retractable seating for students, and renovations to the lobby and concourses. There will also be improved video boards, scoreboards, sound system, heating and cooling systems, and broadcast capabilities. The office suites, restrooms, and locker rooms will also be updated.

The new Moody Coliseum is slated to open in December. SMU’s final “home” game this season against UTEP will be played at Garland’s Culwell Center on March 9.
