For The Record: TACA Gives $1.3 Million in Grants

TACA president Rebecca Young and board chair Nancy Carlson had the pleasure of overseeing a record $1.2 million distributed at last night’s grant awards presentation at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre (the additional $100,000 is marked for innovative and experimental work, and will be distributed in June). Among those credited for the big numbers: Communities Foundation of Texas (with a contribution of $100,000), and gala chairmen Jacquelin and Phillip Taylor and Nicholas Even, who exceeded their fundraising goals by a remarkable 45 percent.
