Caruth Park: When W.W. Caruth Sr. deeded the land for Caruth Park to the city of University Park in 1949, he could not have imagined just how important this park would become to the community. One of the city’s largest parks, it provides a safe place for families and individuals to play, exercise, and enjoy nature. With a fishing lake, lighted tennis courts, two ball fields, picnic facilities, a playground, and a walking trail, this park makes it easy for everyone to get active.
