Scots Will Host ‘Hoops And Hot Sauce’ on Feb. 1
I’m always trying to convince my wife that the Kollers should attend more Highland Park Scots games. Given her addiction to Tex-Mex, I believe you’ll be seeing us at the boys basketball game on Feb. 1.
That’s the night of the Hoops and Hot Sauce event. The Scots are teaming up with Bandito’s managers Lee Koons (HP Class of 2004) and Tommy Koons (HP Class of 2002) — not to mention one of the restaurant’s co-owners, Buddy Cramer (Class of 1979) — to host a pre-game meal featuring beef and chicken tacos.
Dinner tickets are $10 per person, and they can be purchased by contacting event co-chairs Pam Stegenga (p.stegenga@sbcglobal.net) and Martha Crites (martha@critesfamily.net). The pregame festivities begin at 5 p.m., and they’ll include live and silent auction of sports packages, entertainment packages, jewelry, and restaurant gift certificates.
