HPHS Grads Pledge Kappa Kappa Gamma at Baylor
During Baylor University’s recent spring recruitment week, five girls who graduated from Highland Park High School in 2012 received a bid invitation from Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. They are (above, left to right) Layne Stedman, Taylor Adams, Emily Interrante, Alexis McDonald, and Taylor Foster.
What beautiful girls ! Congrats !
GKODB
GKODB!!!!! OMG sooo cute
GKODB!!!
“Go Kappa or Die Bitches?” Really?
You stay classy, KKG.
Classy slogan there Kappas.
What am I missing? I don’t see that acronym in the picture. They do look “classy” – lovely young ladies inside and out. I know them.
@wondering, Not sure how you missed the acronym in 3 different comments above yours…
GKOBD means “Go Kappa or Don’t Bother!”
Stupid GDI.
Enough! These are classy young ladies that Kappa felt were worthy of their bid invitation to their Sorority. Leave it alone please. Congratulations is all that needs to be said.
@GKOBD[sic]. You need to correct the Internet for the sake of us GDI’s. (BTW, Urban Dictionary: gdi 1. “God Damn Independent” – A derogatory term used by members of Greek organizations to describe someone who has sufficient intelligence and social skills to simply make friends, not pay for them.)
Sorry to be a jerk but this is a story that could have been lifted verbatim from Park Cities News, which is seen only on Tom Thumb newsstands and in assisted living common rooms with above-the-fold headlines such as “Dads’ Club Banquet Enjoyed By All” and “Local Teens Pledge Kappa Somewhere”, because stories about a fire or the latest murder would be too distressing to its elderly readers.
@Avid Reader – of course I saw it in the comments. I did not see it in the picture so didn’t know why it was being used. I understand now – mean-spiritedness.
@NotAGreek – sorry your rush didn’t go well. My own little mean-spiritedness in retort. Protest all you want.
@GKOBD
“GKOBD means “GO Kappa or Don’t Bother”
Stupid GDI.”
Really? Really? Don’t you mean Go Kappa Or Bother Don’t in your iteration? Stop while you are behind.
@wondering, GKODB was being used by commenters as a cheer or congratulations of sorts for the girls, not in “mean-spiritedness”.
@Avid Reader – I beg to differ.
@wondering,
“GKODB!!!!! OMG sooo cute”
Clearly that was meant to be mean, clearly. Can you just imagine how many exclamation points and o’s in so they would put if they were really being supportive and congratulatory!!!
@Avid Reader – yes, that exact comment was the one I was referring to. Please. Are you really that naive? SARCASM was intended by the poster. Guarantee it.
