Hockaday Hosts (Free) Lego Robot Tournament

Need a way to entertain your kids during tomorrow’s projected rain showers? Head over to Hockaday for the 5th annual North Texas FIRST LEGO® League Championship Robotics Tournament.

The robot competition, sponsored by the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, kicks off at 9:15 a.m. and runs all day (with a brief break for lunch) until 4 p.m. Admission is free for the public.

Throughout the day, 54 teams of students, ages 9-14, will compete with robots they have programmed and built. The robots will compete in “missions” that are designed around everyday tasks, such as wood working, bowling, and gardening.

Sounds like a fun way to pack some education into a dreary Saturday.
