Hillcrest High School Mother And Volunteer Dies
It’s always sad when someone passes, but it’s especially heartbreaking when it happens during the holidays. Today we learned that a Hillcrest High School mother and volunteer passed away last week, so keep the family in your thoughts and prayers. Information on the funeral arrangements as well as a way to help the family out are below.
Tirza Neugent, the mother of Desirae Baker and step-mother of Rikel Fowler died on Thursday evening. Tirza was a great volunteer for HHS. Despite the many health issues that confined her to a wheel chair, Tirza always had a smile on her face and a great attitude. Her funeral arrangements are as follows:
Wake: Thursday at 7 pm. at Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 6449 University Hills Boulevard
Funeral: Friday at 1:30 pm. at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, 6710 Webster Avenue
Those wishing to help the family through this challenging time may contribute gift cards to Target or Walmart. Ms. Gailene Anderson is spearheading this collection and will make sure to deliver to the family in time to add a bit of cheer to their holidays. Please bring any contributions to her in the Hillcrest High School counselors’ office by Thursday afternoon.
