Bestselling Author to Discuss Asperger’s at HPMS
Before my son was officially diagnosed as autistic, we suspected he might have Asperger’s sydrome. One of the first books I read then was John Elder Robison’s Look Me in the Eye: My Life With Asperger’s. It was an entertaining and informative read, and it helped me figure out that my son was much further along the autism spectrum than I’d hoped.
The Highland Park ISD special education department is bringing Robison to Highland Park Middle School on Monday. His 7 p.m. lecture, “Living With Asperger’s: A Celebration of Neurodiversity,” is free and open to all.
I’ve heard him speak before and he’s outstanding!!!
