These Groom’s Cakes Are Smokin’
I’m working on a story about unusual groom’s cakes for the upcoming edition of I Do!, our weddings magazine. What you see here is a cake made to look like a can of Skoal. I’ve also been in touch with a bride whose husband’s cake resembled a humidor full of cigars. Two is nice, but three makes a trend. Can anybody out there recall seeing a similarly unusual groom’s cake at a wedding recently? If it happened to be inspired by tobacco products, all the better.
Have seen quite a few in the last couple years. Saw one that looked like a Waffle House; one that looked like a cooler full of booze; one that looked like the Georgia Bulldog stadium including hedges; one that looked like the groom’s boot;, one that looked like bevo; one that was a conestoga wagon, and a number of others as this has been on the up-tick for the last few years.
If you can match one or two of those cakes to the corresponding couple in your memory, and can send me their contact info, I’d appreciate it: editor@peoplenewspapers.com.
