Oliver Closing In On State Receptions Record
Jesuit senior wide receiver Jake Oliver, who has verbally committed to the University of Texas, is 12 receptions away from breaking the state record of 264 held by former Longhorn Jordan Shipley.
Oliver had three catches in last week’s 52-7 win over Richardson Berkner to increase his career total to 253 and move past Mission’s Nati Valdez and into second on the all-time list.
The Rangers (4-1, 1-1) play at W.T. White at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Loos Stadium.
