Willard Butler Cox Jr., 67, passed away September 22, 2012. A longtime resident of the Park Cities and Preston Hollow area, Will was a beloved husband and father.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Fran Cox of Dallas; children, Cristin Cox of Dallas, James Cox and wife Katie of Dallas; sister Carolyn and husband Don McDermett of Dallas, Myrlan and husband Jim Coleman of Weatherford. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Will was a dedicated pharmacist, and owned pharmacies in Highland Park, North Dallas and Carrollton. He developed many friendships and devoted clients throughout his over 40 years in the industry.

A proud alum of the University of Texas, Will was an accomplished artisan, with a passion for creating beautiful handmade furnishings. He loved hunting and golf, and had a generous giving soul.

A memorial service was held September 26, at Highland Park United Methodist Church, 3300 Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75205.

Honorary pallbearers included Dan Daniels, David Fertitta, Robert Hallam, Don McDermett, Jay Scott McDermett, Maurice Moore, Joe Nichols, Blair Pogue, Steven Schiff, and Leddie Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the SPCA of Texas, Highland Park United Methodist Church or the Center for Brain Health at UT Southwestern or to a charity of your choice.
