Three Cheers For Hillcrest’s Sydney Pedigo
The National Merit Scholarship Corp. announced the names of its 16,000 semifinalists on Wednesday. In all of DISD, there is exactly one semifinalist who is not a student at the School for the Talented and Gifted or the School of Science and Engineering. That one semifinalist is Sydney Pedigo of Hillcrest High School. Congratulations, Sydney!
In case you’re wondering, there were 24 semifinalists from Hockaday, 18 from St. Mark’s, 10 from Greenhill, nine from Jesuit, nine from Cistercian, seven from Ursuline, four from ESD, three from Cambridge, and two from Parish Episcopal. We’ll print all of their names in next week’s edition of Preston Hollow People.
