Highland Park senior baseball standout Ryan Romo was recently named to the Connie Mack World Series All-Tournament Team.
The series, the most prestigious and highest level amateur baseball tournament in the country for 18-and-under club teams, was played last month in Farmington, N.M.
Romo played right field and hit .500 for the tourney. He belted a game-winning hit to lift his team, the DBAT Mustangs, to an extra-inning win. The Mustangs, coached by Frisco Wakeland coach Barry Rose, finished third.
