Rawlings Forges Ahead With Spraying
During an emergency agenda item added to this morning’s City Council briefing agenda, Mayor Mike Rawlings again reiterated his support for aerial West Nile spraying.
“I can not have any more deaths on my conscience because we did not take action at this point,” he said, to a brimming briefing room.
Dallas County officials gave municipalities until 5 p.m. today to make a decision regarding the spraying; Rawlings said he’d approve the plan as soon as he left the Council meeting.
Spraying could begin as early as Thursday night, but is expected to start over the weekend.
