DISD Offers Incentives For Students Who Attend First Day
I remember I used to hate the first day of school more than anything. But if I had the chance to win a big money, I’m sure I would have been a little more excited about attending.
This year, every student that attends the first day of school on August 27 will be entered into a drawing to receive a $500 debit card. Only three students will win, though; one from an elementary school, one from a middle school, and one from a high school, and the winner will be randomly selected from an electronic system.
The incentives will be provided by DISD School Board President Lew Blackburn, and contributions can be made by emailing him at [email protected].
