Both Park Cities Approve Aerial Spraying
Highland Park has given Dallas County the go-ahead to aerially spray the town for West Nile, but no exact timeline has been established for the measures.
“With everything being concentrated through our communities, we listened to all the medical experts from the state level , and that helped us make that decision,” said HP spokesman Sgt. Lance Koppa.
Municipalities are required to communicate to Dallas County by Wednesday night whether their communities would allow aerial spraying, Koppa said. University Park officials are expected to discuss the possibility this afternoon.
More information — times, locations, weather contingencies — should be ready by Thursday, Koppa said.
UPDATE, 5:43 p.m.: University Park just signed off on the spraying as well. Still no exact timetable, but Friday or Saturday night seems to be the most likely scenario.
Thank you Highland Park.
