W.T. White Grad Set to Compete in Olympics
W.T. White graduate Dennis Bowsher will be competing in the modern pentathlon on Saturday morning at the Olympics in London.
Modern pentathlon consists of fencing, swimming, equestrian, and combined (running plus laser pistol). All of the events are completed in the same day. The men’s event begins at 8:45 a.m. with fencing.
Bowsher, a 2001 graduated of W.T. White, is competing in the Olympics for the first time. He is in the Army and lives in Colorado. Bowsher nearly made it to the Olympics in 2008. He is vying to become the first American to medal in modern pentathlon since 1960.
And there’s another W.T. White alum with an Olympic connection.
