Former Scots Nominated For ESPY Awards
Two former Highland Park athletes are in the running to win ESPY Awards from ESPN.
Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is nominated for “Best Comeback Athlete,” while National League Cy Young winner and Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is up for “Best MLB Player.” You can vote for the Highland Park exes on the ESPN website.
Stafford’s competition is hockey player Sidney Crosby, baseball player Johan Santana, and tennis player Maria Sharipova. Kershaw’s competition is Josh Hamilton of the Rangers, Ryan Braun, Justin Verlander, and one of his teammates, Matt Kemp.
The EPSY Awards air on July 11 on ESPN.
