Young Gets Start For Mets on Tuesday
After making a successful rehab start for Triple-A Buffalo last week, former Highland Park Scot Chris Young will be the starting pitcher for the resurgent New York Mets against Washington on Tuesday in D.C.
Young, 33, will be making his first MLB start since May 1, 2011, following shoulder surgery. Prior to the Buffalo start, he made three starts for Single-A St. Lucie and had a 3.18 ERA. He pitched six scoreless inning for Buffalo.
Young and his wife are expecting a baby any day.
