Rotary’s Work is Materializing at Hillcrest
Remember the Park Cities Rotary project to renovate Hillcrest High School’s courtyard? Well, good news. The $10,000 needed to finish the job has been raised and surpassed, and now the group — a team of Rotarians and service-minded students — has a cool $22,000.
“”It’s unbelievable,” says coordinator Linda Tunnell, adding that the once-dreary eating area, which previously lacked wheelchair access, looks “fabulous.” Now they’ve got cash on hand for landscaping, too.
Saturday is the final workday, so if you’d like to volunteer with low-key bricklaying and such, give Tunnell a ring at 214-926-3974.
