Cambridge Middle School Girls Track Wins District
Though the Cambridge middle school girl track team was one of the smaller teams competing in the IAA MS District Championships at Parish Episcopal, they still won 1st place overall.
Individually, they all did great. 6th grader Samantha Papageorge took 1st in 100m hurdles. (Awkward side story: I did hurdles in middle school, and was horrible. At my first meet, I tripped on almost each one!)
7th grader Alexandra Arenas took 1st in the 800m and 2nd in the 100m. 7th grader Ellie Ratliff took 1st in the 200m and 100m. 8th grader Lexie Alexander took 2nd in 100m hurdles and 4th in 100m, and 8th grader Paige Byrne took 3rd in the 400m and 800m.
