Howdy, Neighbor

One of Highland Park’s most famous alums, defending National League Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw, will have a neighbor as a co-worker when the Los Angeles Dodgers open the regular season with Kershaw on the mound April 5 in San Diego.

Former Ranger Jamey Wright, who is from Oklahoma but lives in Highland Park, has been signed by the Dodgers. Wright is also a pitcher. He has made an opening day roster for the seventh straight year as a non-roster invitee.

Pretty impressive to go 7 years in a row as a non-roster invitee and make a club’s roster.
