Man Arrested For Highland Park Burglaries

Highland Park DPS detectives Russell Nance and Catherine Justice escort Hugh Meyers into the DPS offices.

We’ll have a full story on this in Friday’s Park Cities People, but I just couldn’t help but post this photo now. Hugh Meyers, 57, was arrested Wednesday morning for a burglary in Highland Park, and is suspected in four more burglaries.

But, really, the story here is that outfit. Note the bowler hat in Det. Nance’s hands. Despite his (allegedly, though he has been convicted of at least five other crimes in Dallas County since 1974) wavering moral compass, this is a man with style.

I’m sad you didn’t get a view of his shoes. I bet they are fabulous.

Amanda- I saw them in another shot. Midnight blue, suede slip-ons. They were magnificent.

It’s clearly Morris Day’s valet, Jerome. All roads lead to Purple Rain.
