DISD’s Flores Isn’t Seeking Reelection
This week’s paper has a story about DISD trustee Edwin Flores, his time in the spotlight for a clash with a fourth-grade teacher, and (for now) the only person to file for Flores’ District 1 seat this year: DeGolyer dad Michael Greenberg. Candidates have until March 5 to throw their hats into the ring.
And Flores has just opted out, as Unfair Park reports.
As Flores said when he and I spoke Monday — when he seemed gung-ho about the election, for what it’s worth — “I’ve been challenged before. And hey, more folks might show up. It might turn into a big old party.”
