‘Jesters’ Play Runs Friday, Saturday at HPUMC
Jesters, a theater troupe for special-needs teens and adults, is celebrating year two at Highland Park United Methodist Church with weekend production of Movin’ On: A Family Tale of Squirrels, Police, and Magic.
We’ll have more in Friday’s paper about the program and the play, which was written with input from all 31 cast members (five being from the Park Cities), and covers themes of self-acceptance, progress, and autonomy. It’s also the product of rehearsals since September.
And hey, if the title cracks you up a bit – as it did me – that’s OK.
The show is full of comedy, says cast member Cindy Johnson, who promises a good time for all. “It’s a very funny play.”
