Win Free Chick-fil-A For a Year Tonight

When I lived in Baltimore, two of my roommates used to attend every Chick-fil-A grand opening between the Pennsylvania state line and Washington, D.C. We were young, stupid, and poor, so the prospect of being one of the first 100 people on line (and thus winning a year’s supply of free food) was more of a “When?” instead of a “Why?”

My roommate Bert would grab his sleeping bag, Joel would grab the tent, and they’d head to their asphalt beds for the night. They stacked up hundreds of free meal tickets from the various excursions, and we ate like chicken-fried kings for two years.

All of that is a roundabout way to say there’s a new Chick-fil-A opening at Northwest Highway and Skillman tomorrow morning. The first 100 people in line get free Chick-fil-A for a year. Beware, though: the tents have already arrived (see photo).

I just can’t picture any Park Cities people camping out at Chick-fil-a for free food. Now put the same deal over at Cafe Pacific and you might get a reaction.

Many morons do the same thing without the promise of free food just to be first in line for the latest Apple creation.

@Neal- There were, but they needed to be on board with only eating Chick-fil-A for weeks at a time. It didn’t thin the herd as much as you’d expect.

It’s actually Chickfila sandwiches for a year at one a week. So 52 free sandwiches.

I saw tents up for at least 2 days before it opened. That whole center is going to be a nightmare with Chickfila opening, the Del Taco coming, etc. Never mind the horrible access, once you get in there the roads are tight, blind corners, awkward intersection, Walmart customers, etc. Whomever designed the whole development should be fired.

And the Crows should be run out of town for ripping out all the trees there in the first place.
