Detective Marty Nevil Leaving HPDPS

Detective/town spokeswoman/general nice human being Marty Nevil will be leaving Highland Park at the end of the month to spend more time with her family, she said.

I’ve always enjoyed working with Detective Nevil, and I’ll be sad to see her go. Reporters tend to set the bar pretty low when it comes to police and government spokespeople, but Nevil always soared over it. She’ll be replaced by Sgt. Lance Koppa, an 11-year veteran of the department.

Good luck, Marty.

Thats sad news for HPPD. A couple of their overbearing/overzealous Barney Fife’s could learn a lesson in ethics and professionalism, especially with their “jack-wagon-racial/economic profilin” of those they think aren’t good enough to be in HP.

No one can match up to U.P. Steve “is there a problem?” Mace!
