Lights All Night Literally
Shooting concerts can be fun, especially if you like the music, and can be a nice break from day to day assignments. That is not to say there are not rules to follow. Generally the media can shoot only the first three songs of an artist. There is no doubt the the electronic, dance and trance scene is growing in North Texas and across the state for that matter. Earlier this year the city hosted the Electric Daisy Carnival at Fair Park, and on New Years Eve, the Dallas Convention Center hosted Lights All Night, a two day event put on by Highland Entertainment. Shooting in the pit, as well call, or right in front of the stage is fine, but sometimes I like to track down different spots to shoot from. The shot of DJ Tiesto was taken from the side of the stage. The smoke filled air and color from the stage lights added a nice touch. I only went one of the nights. Lets put it this way, it was a long night. Tiesto finished his set at 3 a.m.But it sure was fun. Photos were taken with a Nikon D7000, Nikon 80-200mm at f2.8, ISO 3200.
Big Noise Productions did not put on the LightsAllNight event , Highland Entertainment did
