White Rock Marathon Shuts Down HP Streets Sunday

Hey, I just remembered the marathon is this weekend. This most likely means some of you forgot too. Here’s a quick rundown of the Park Cities-area routes/closures:

– Turn right on Turtle Creek Blvd running north on the east side lanes of Turtle Creek to N. Fitzhugh Ave – Turtle Creek becomes Lakeside Dr.; continue north on Lakeside Dr., making a slight right onto Armstrong Ave. followed by an immediate left back to Lakeside Dr.;
-Continue north on Lakeside Dr through the Town of Highland Park running by Lakeside Park up to Beverly Dr.;
-Turn right at Beverly Dr running east on the south side lanes to Sewanee Ave.;

-Turn left at Sewanee Ave running north to Cornell Ave;

-Turn right on Cornell Ave. running east on the south side lanes to Airline,

-Turn right at Airline, pass by the start of the Katy Trail, continue south to the southbound I-75 Access Road;

-Turn right at southbound I-75 Access Road, then make a left onto the McCommas Blvd bridge over I-75 running on the north side lanes of McCommas;

    If you’re running in the marathon, be sure to look for the Highlander Band. A group of volunteer band members will be out bright and early to play for you!
