It’s Patio Season, Kid!

Now that it hasn’t been 100 degrees for a few days, it’s time to think about heading outdoors. I’ll drink anywhere, but my lady enjoys a good patio. She’s a people-watcher; I’m more of a “drinker.”

So that begs the question: what’s the best patio in the Park Cities and surrounding area?

And for those of you questioning this lazy blog post: it’s Friday. You don’t want to be at work, I don’t want to be at work, so let’s have some fun.

(For readers who don’t get my headline reference, see here. Note: it contains one foul word, but it’s pretty low on the swear word totem pole.)

    For dinner, it’s Patrizio.

For drinks/casual food, it’s Ozona and Katy Trail Ice House (if those are close enough to the PC’s).

The patios that are really just a handful of sidewalk tables right next to a street suck. Yeah, I’m looking at you, Blue Goose.

Ozona’s great, but don’t forget about dining/getting sloshed on bellinis “al fresco” at Patrizio’s in HP Village. That’s a truly lovely patio and the people watching is always fabulous…so many face lifts to analyze, so little time!

Katy Trail Ice House, TABC and the Gingerman are goodies. Plus, Ozona, Patrizio’s and Talousse. Love me a good patio.

Don’t forget The Common Table on Fairmount! It is run by a wonderful Park Cities Family. Great food, great atmosphere, and a great patio!!

Saint Ann’s patio, beyond what every one will list here, aka the usual suspects it is the best of the best.

Not near the bubble, but my all-time favorite for this time of year and on into the winter (1/2 dozen fire pits) is Lee Harvey’s

While my personal number one vote would have to go to Ozona, I give props to all of the patios mentioned thus far! One I’ve always liked that has not been mentioned, is Matt’s in Lakewood. Get out there before they close down. When you’re finished, head up to Balcony Club next door for a nightcap, now that they’re not going to have to close.
