HPISD Preps Centennial Celebration

At last night’s HPISD Board of Trustees meeting, Education Foundation executive director Jan Peterson and district communications director Helen Williams clued trustees in on the plans for the district’s 100-year anniversary in 2014.

We’ll have more on that in the coming weeks in the print product, but I wanted to hear what you all thought.

How would you like the district to celebrate its 100 years? Parade? Shoot Dawson Orr out of a cannon? School tax holiday? Comments are open.

That’s shameful. And I wouldn’t advertise it as something positive.

Hopefully some thing fun is put together. Jesuit/Ursuline manages to get big name bands and other things for there homecoming every year, it was just posted on this blog… I know lots of younger (20’s) alumni that go to these but HP has nothing like it but it should.
