Olive Oil Shop on Tap For Lovers Lane
Specificity, fancy business people say, is the key to success. That’s why there are dating sites dedicated to Sikhs, it’s why Lebowski Fest exists, and, apparently, it’s why someone is opening an olive oil shop on Lovers Lane.
Grapevine Olive Oil Company will soon open on the busy thoroughfare, when Consignment Galleries used to hold court. The shop will feature 45 different types of olive oil, for all of your olive oiling needs. All of the oils will be on tap, so customers can fill up bottles with their favorites.
“It’s like a tap room,” owner Rebecca Knop told Teresa Gubbins . “We do all the bottling here. And we have little sampling cups, so you don’t have to ask me, ‘Can I taste that?’ You do it all yourself.”
So, who’s going to be the first person to attempt an olive oil drum stand? My college record is 35 seconds. Prize to the winner.
Man, I feel like such a hillbilly, buying my olive oil at Central Market and thinking it was just fine.
Hey Charles,
This is Rebecca, the owner of Lovers Lane Olive Oil Co. There is nothing “hillbilly” about buying oil at Central Market as I’m sure they have some good oils and vinegars; the catch with our store is we have a much greater selection AND you can taste them before you purchase. We also have a great discounted refill program; does Central Market offer that?? We hope to see you in our store soon!
