Rise and Shine, Park Cities (7-21-11)
1. Off to Snider Plaza today? An informal fashion show and sneak-peek at designer Paulette Martsolf’s fall line await you at Allie-Coosh, where drinks and hors d’eouvres will be served from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The show starts at 4 p.m.
2. If you haven’t heard, Nosh Euro Bistro chef Carrie Keep is a contestant on Season 9 of Hell’s Kitchen, which premiered Monday. Pun-abuse opportunities downright ignited at a watch party that night, when the crowd had to be evacuated for a kitchen fire. Yep.
We’ll have more on Keep, a line cook at Nosh, in our July 29 issue. Meanwhile, you can catch the show’s onscreen fireworks — and rest assured, there are a bleeping, weeping ton of them — 8 p.m. July 25 on FOX 4.
3. Dita Von Teese, burlesque artist and former Marylin Manson spouse, is Cointreau liqueur’s new spokesperson. Upcoming on her calendar? A July 27 appearance at the Mansion (no kidding) where she’ll launch her namesake Cointreau MargaDita cocktail and bring an entourage of friends with monikers: think Dirty Martini, Selene Luna, and Medianoche Bur Lesque.
The event kicks off at 6 p.m., followed by Von Teese’s “Strip Strip Hooray!” variety show July 28 at House of Blues.
