Rise and Shine, Park Cities (7-14-11)

1. I’ve long awaited the Asian Film Festival of Dallas‘ 10th-annual lineup, which begins tonight at Mockingbird Station. Turns out ol’ Bradford Pearson has his eye on it, too — and he’ll be reviewing several films for D Magazine‘s FrontRow. Stay tuned.

2. If you eat at Purple Cow in at Preston Center Royal today and say you’re there to support Rainbow Days, 15 percent of your meal price goes to the nonprofit. Simple as that.

3. More for the calendar, here: Ye-Dallas-Politician-of-Recent-Newsworthy-Turmoil, John Wiley Price, is slated to speak at next Friday’s Park Cities Rotary Club meeting (11:50 a.m. sharp, as always, at Maggiano’s).  The commissioner booked his appearance months ago, says club publicity chair Kirby Warnock, and it’s still on. Who’s going?

Purple cow is located at Preston/ Royal not Preston Center. I was actually hoping you were announcing a new one.

JWP at Park Cities Rotary would be an interesting presentation even if not for the recent events. Do you know if you have to be a member to come hear the presentation?

@UPDad: I’ve just checked; You don’t have to be a member, but do have to be a member’s guest. Hope this helps.
