1. Therapist Janice Gaunt (who raised her family in Highland Park and offices at the Pavilion center on Lovers Lane) has just penned her first book, The Shame Game, and readers from as far away as India are all atwitter.
I met Gaunt yesterday, and she’s pretty tickled about the 12,000 Twitter followers — but trying not to worry too much about the book’s outcome, she says. Amazon.com has some details.

The Dallas Arboretum will head to the University Park Public Library’s summer reading program tomorrow, for a special “Earth on the Move” program that teaches kids about “weathering, erosion, landforms, and the rock cycle,” says the website. The day begins at 10:30 a.m. And yes, I wish I weren’t way too old to go.
