Rise and Shine, Park Cities (6-10-11)
1. The Park Cities’ own debutante ball, La Fiesta de Las Seis Banderas, is scheduled for Saturday night at the Anatole. That should be much more comfortable than the first Fiesta, which was also held in June … on the Highland Park Village parking lot. Any former duchesses have any memories they’d like to share? Be sure to tell us what you were the duchess of. Some of those titles amuse me.
2. We’ve received word that the Real Estate Council’s annual Fight Night, chaired by the Mundinger family of University Park, raised $945,000. More importantly, everyone lived to tell about it.
3. I was perusing the latest issue of our parent publication, D Magazine, and saw that our own Charles Geilich was included in the list of best lawyers. Congrats, Charles. I’m sure he’s not the only Park Cities lawyer on the list, but he’s definitely the only one on the list who contributes to this blog.
Thanks, Dan. I’ll do my best to represent the parent publication well, mostly by trying not say stupid things, for a one-year period. No promises.
Debutantes. Gag me.
