Rise and Shine, Park Cities (5-25-11)

1. Park Cities jewelry designer Amanda Sterett will host a trunk show at Stephanie Anne tomorrow and Friday. If you’re not familiar with Sterett’s designs, prepare to be amazed with natural semi-precious stones and intricate wire work. To. Die. For.

2. Congrats to Highland Park seniors Lauren Abston and Benjamin Dupree. Both students were National Merit Finalists and received scholarships from their chosen schools. Lauren plans to study international law at University of Oklahoma, and Benjamin will head across Hillcrest to SMU to study video game programming. Congrats, Scots!

3. Park Cities resident Adam Romo Jr. is taking the helm of Eatzi’s as the company’s new CEO. Romo, who is no stranger to the food biz, was Eatzi’s CFO from 1996 to 1999. While he’s still taking suggestions, perhaps we should throw out a few ideas? Besides the parking lot, what’s the one thing you’d change about Eatzi’s?

Yes they do and it’s no joke, it’s one of the best in the world – http://guildhall.smu.edu/

Ben is one of the greatest, most inspirational kids you will ever meet. He’s the hardest working student I have ever known, he’s overcome obstacles no other kid in that school has had to even think about. I’m so proud of the outstanding young man he’s become, congratulations to Ben and his family, especially his amazing mom. You rock too Mrs. Dupree!
