University Park is a Jungle
Earlier this week around lunch time, some guy was driving by University Park Elementary and happened to notice a 5 to 6 foot long snake shimmy underneath a car parked in front of the school. He stopped, called animal control and waited so that if it moved toward the playground, he could warn teachers.
Dude, wherever you are, you rock.
Does anybody remember the rash of Cottonmouth Water Moccasins in Turtle Creek during the late sixties? I remember seeing up to ten in a mating ball and screaming all the way home. My grandfather and a few neighbors took their shotguns and got rid what they could.
I saw a snake on Lakeside today. Hide your kids, hide your small animals…
Was anyone able to identify the aforementioned serpent? It’s pretty dadgum big…maybe all the recent rain has driven them to higher ground. Or maybe he knew it was Taco Day at UP.
Wow, and we were impressed with the 3 6″ snakes we found in our backyard this weekend.
That’s a Texas Rat Snake. Harmless and very beneficial.
