Lyda Hill to Receive Junior League of Dallas’ Lifetime Achievement Award
Despite this morning’s cold, wet weather, Junior Leaguers turned out for the announcement of the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient at Junior League of Dallas headquarters. Given once every five years, the award has been presented only to Ruth Altshuler, Lindalyn Adams and Linda Custard. Incoming JLD president Susan Wells announced that Lyda Hill would officially be joining this stellar group of ladies at a luncheon on Nov. 15 at Brook Hollow Golf Club.
Addressing the crowd, Lyda emphasized her commitment to philanthropy reporting that she plans to give all her money in her lifetime with the “last one bouncing.” Her most recent “give” was the $20 million to Hockaday.
