72-Year-Old Found Dead
Pretty sad story from the Highland Park police blotter this week.
A Highland Park couple returned from a trip to Colorado, walked into their home, and found a 72-year-old Dallas resident dead in their living room. The woman was the caretaker of the homeowner’s 102-year-old mother, who was luckily safe upstairs.
Turns out the caretaker had a history of heart and kidney problems, and worked part-time for the homeowners.
We usually don’t include natural deaths in the Park Cities People police blotter, but this incident seemed more like an opportunity to educate. Folks, check out the people watching your loved ones, and make sure they’re up to the task.
