Logan Finds Emergency Help In Park Cities

Logan

Tuesday Logan, a German Shepherd/Collie mix, ended up at the Dallas Animal Shelter with his right foot “chopped” off.  They think a hatchet was used.

Thanks to the DAS’s Mark Cooper and Paws in the City‘s Tara Harper, Logan was rushed to Dr. John Vandermeer at Highland Park Veterinary Clinic for emergency care.

Today it was learned that the rest of Logan’s right leg will need to be amputated tomorrow due to infection. The good news is that there are people like Mark, Tara and Dr. V. The bad news is someone is still out there that needs to be . . . well, you know.

BTW, if you have some spare change, you can donate it to Logan’s medical costs at Paws in the City. And Logan will be in need of a permanent home once he’s recovered.

Thank God for Doctors and people like this who are true angels to our furry friends. On another note, I will volunteer to give the same treatment to the one who perpetrated this horrific crime.

It’s a known fact that people who abuse animals turn to humans next. Many serial killers started out abusing or killing animals. If they find the person or persons who did this, they should be taken out back and shot.

That kind of behavior is deplorable. Dr. Vandermeer is great. I’ve had several vets and he’s the most caring by far.

That is a terrible story…huge thanks to the vets and for PCP for bringing Logan’s story to the blog. I hope some kind soul out there can bring him into their home and show him some love. I also hope whoever did this to him rots in hell. Seriously.

@DB:You’re totally right. Let’s hope the person(s) get help. In the meantime, let’s celebrate the good people who stepped up and take care of the damaged creature s/he hurt.
