Priscilla Anne Rettger BellPriscilla Anne Rettger Bell died peacefully at home on Feb. 1.

Shortly after her birth in San Antonio on Feb. 12, 1935, her family moved to Dallas, where she grew up in Highland Park. Priscilla graduated from Highland Park High School in 1952, and received her Bachelor of Arts in history from SMU in 1956, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Priscilla spent many leadership and volunteer hours in the service of the Junior League of Dallas, the Children’s Medical Center Auxiliary, and Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. Priscilla always put others first, as shown by her dedication to driving Meals on Wheels for over 20 years.

Priscilla is preceded in death by her parents, Ima Winchell Rettger and Robert Ernest Rettger, and her brother, Robert Winchell Rettger. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Robert Bell; three daughters and sons-in-law: Beverly and David Godbey, Ginger and Allen Baden, and Tricia and Tom Stewart; and seven grandchildren: John and Ruth Godbey, Andy and Caroline Baden, and Sally, Jeff, and Mary Stewart.

The family wishes to thank their lifelong friend and helper, Mary Dabbs, Fresenius Dialysis Center at Walnut Hill, Faith Presbyterian Hospice, and Lois Morgan. A memorial service was held Feb. 5 at Saint Michael and All Angels. Memorials may be made to VNA Meals on Wheels or the charity of your choice.
